Example output

Sample, not a ranking promise: the title "Check the title and description length before you publish" has display width 57, and the description that follows has display width 153. For this Latin text, width equals the grapheme count. The meta description length checker says both sit inside the editorial range. It does not claim Google cuts a title at 60 characters.

How to use it

  1. Paste the title and the description you would publish.
  2. Read the title width against 50 to 60. CJK and fullwidth graphemes count as 2.
  3. Read the description width against 120 to 160.
  4. Rewrite only the line that sits outside its range, then put both lines in the brief.

FAQ

Are 50 to 60 and 120 to 160 Google limits?

No. Google says a title element and a meta description have no length limit, and that the title link and the snippet are truncated to fit the device width. These two ranges are editorial width units used by this checker. They are not a character cutoff published by Google.

What does the count include?

After trimming, each grapheme counts as 1, except a CJK or fullwidth grapheme, which counts as 2. The band uses that display width. The result also shows the grapheme count. This is not a pixel measurement.

Why is there no score?

The result says whether both lengths sit inside the editorial range, or asks you to review them. It is not a number out of 100 and it does not predict rankings.
