Example output

Sample, not a benchmark: destination https://example.com/pricing, source google, medium cpc, campaign spring_launch. The UTM link builder result is https://example.com/pricing?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=spring_launch. That only shows where the click should be attributed. It does not say the campaign is profitable.

How to use it

  1. Paste the http or https page this click should open.
  2. Enter the source, the medium, and one campaign name you will reuse.
  3. Leave keyword and creative blank unless you need them.
  4. Copy the campaign URL into the ad or email, then read return on ad spend after traffic arrives.

FAQ

What does a UTM link builder change?

It adds utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign to the destination. utm_term and utm_content are added only when those fields are not blank. The rest of the query is copied as written, including percent-encoding, a flag with no equals sign, and a semicolon. A #fragment stays after the query.

Does this lowercase my campaign name?

No. Parameter values are case sensitive in campaign reports. The builder keeps the characters you typed.

Which parameters are required?

Source, medium, and campaign. Google's campaign URL guidance says to set those three whenever you tag a link. Term and content are optional.
