Example output

Illustration: a page that opens with a definition, lists the inputs for ROAS, and links the formula to a worked example is easier to quote than a page that only says the metric matters. The GEO readiness checker marks missing definitions and missing sources. It does not claim the page will be cited.

How to use it

  1. Paste the page or describe the answer it is supposed to give.
  2. Run the GEO readiness checker and read the gaps in definition, evidence, and structure.
  3. Add the missing definition in the first screen of the page.
  4. Pair the result with the on-page SEO audit so titles and answers are checked together.

FAQ

What does GEO mean here?

Generative engine optimization: making a page clear enough that an answer engine can quote it without guessing. It is not a promise of placement.

Is this the same as an SEO audit?

No. The SEO audit checks on-page fields such as title, description, and headings. This check asks whether the answer itself is quotable.

Should I add statistics to rank in AI answers?

Add a statistic only when you can name the source. An unsupported number is worse than a clear definition.

Sources

  • No published GEO score Google and schema.org do not publish a GEO score. This checker adds the weights of seven pattern checks: title length, answer phrasing, question structure, evidence words, capitalized names, word count, and lists. Inputs are the page title, page text, and optional audience, entity, and source URL. A pass does not mean an assistant will cite the page.
