Example output

Illustration: signal, clinics asking whether reminders can live in the booking tool; source, the last ten sales calls; review date, the first Monday next month. The trend research plan records that. It does not say the category is growing.

How to use it

  1. Name one signal you have actually heard or seen.
  2. Write the source and what would change your mind.
  3. Run the trend research plan and set a review date.
  4. Only then decide whether the signal deserves a content pillar or a slide in the marketing plan.

FAQ

What counts as a source?

Something you can reopen: calls, support tickets, a named report, or a dataset. "Everyone is saying" is not a source.

How often should I review?

Pick a date when new evidence could exist. A weekly review of the same five anecdotes will not make the trend more true.

Should I publish the trend?

Publish the observation and the source. Do not publish a growth rate you did not measure.
